World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

The theme for 2022 celebration is ‘Only One Earth.’ This was also the slogan for the 1972 conference in Stockholm, where the annual global event was first instituted on June 5.

Akal Academy Baru Sahib, PYP students also participated in various activities to mark the occasion and make everyone aware of the need to help conserve the environment in whatever little way we can.
