On the holiest occasion Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and
**With the grace of Akal Purakh Maharaaj ji
The Punjabi department of Akal Academy Baru Sahib has organised some innovative engagements;
1. Essay writing competition and Gurbani calligraphy on the life of Guru Nanak Dev ji and ‘Mool-Mantras’ also included the other verses from Gurbani.

2. The elucidation of Baani Shri Japji Sahib was also organised by the students under the supervision of trained teachers.

3. The Art exhibition was also launched on the life glimpses of Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj ji.

4. The Gurmat quiz competition was organised by the Divinity department.

Such events are organised to keep the Sikhi intact among the young generations. The impressionable minds are inculcated with the root values of Sikhism and are fed with the importance of mother language and the significance of traditional scriptures.
Gurbani recitation and  raising Sikhs of the Future with Value based education is the essence of Kalgidhar Trust, grooming a cluster of Sikh youths according to the Sikh tenets. The objective was to motivate the students to use the Punjabi language in a more impressive way.
**The blessed students have participated actively and also performed with full zeal and enthusiasm.
