Peace and Harmony Club Activity

Every thought that we put into the world affects it. Think love, think peace, think harmony. Peace and harmony club organized activities for kids in the PYP block in Akal Academy Baru Sahib. When the world around us is living a life of chaos the growing angels were given time to calm themselves with meditative music and the following activities were done

Nursery, LKG & UKG – Calmness jar or any toy to relax and be calm. Students created tiny toys and objects that would be used when they feel stressed or upset

Grade I & II – Peace corner with calmness quotes. Students setup a corner in their class as a peace corner where they would spend time every day to maintain their calmness

Grade III – Peace tree or Peace wreath. Students wrote about peace, calmness, kindness and harmony and presented as a peace tree or peace wreath

Grade IV & V – Anchor chart (peacemakers and peacebreakers) Students differentiated both peacemakers and peacebreakers and presented using an anchor chart.

Love makes our friends a little dearer. Joy makes our heart a little lighter. Faith makes our path a little dearer. Hope makes our life a little brighter. Peace brings us all a little nearer.
