A Journey Back to the Roots | Alumni Reflections from Chicago– USA Sangat Darshan

As the USA Sangat Darshan and Awareness Campaign of Hon’ble Dr. Davinder Singh Ji reaches Chicago, it became a deeply moving moment when alumni of Akal Academy Baru Sahib reconnected with their alma mater and mentor.

Alumnus Lakhwinder Singh graciously hosted a special gathering at his residence, welcoming Hon’ble Dr. Davinder Singh Ji with warmth and reverence. Another alumnus, Manraj Singh, also joined to seek blessings, making the occasion truly nostalgic and meaningful.

Coming from a small village in Punjab, Lakhwinder Singh once carried the fear of competing with city students, especially due to language barriers. However, his 11 years at Akal Academy Baru Sahib transformed that fear into confidence. The Academy’s disciplined environment, beginning each day with Nitnem, early routines, and value-based, quality education, helped him build strong communication skills, self-belief and character. Today, those foundations reflect in his professional journey as a Process Engineering Manager at HYDAC Group.

Another proud alumnus, Manraj Singh, who studied at the Academy for 10 years (1996–2006), shared how his parents chose Akal Academy in the absence of quality schools in their village. He credits his professional success to the strong educational and moral foundation laid during his formative years at Akal Academy Baru Sahib.

Both alumni joined the Akal Academy Baru Sahib at a young age and, over the years, experienced a remarkable transformation. Once, village children were hesitant about language and exposure; they emerged as confident individuals, a reflection of how Akal Academy’s movement bridges the rural–urban gap, nurtures discipline, and instils the belief that no child is lesser than another.

These moments stand as living examples of how value-based education shapes lives across generations.

As we move towards 40 Years of Education (1986–2026), such alumni reflections reaffirm the enduring impact of Akal Academy’s mission, empowering rural roots to build global leaders.

We warmly invite all alumni and Sangat to join this collective mission of rebuilding Punjab and fostering global peace through education and seva.
