From the United Kingdom to the Himalayan hills of Baru Sahib, a journey united by faith, purpose and togetherness.
As part of the 40th Foundation Day celebrations of Akal Academy Baru Sahib, the Walk for Change 2026, held on 21st October, brought together Sadh Sangat Ji from the United Kingdom, students, teachers and team members of Akal Academy Baru Sahib for a journey through the mountains, hills and forests of Baru Sahib.
Led by the students of Akal Academy Baru Sahib, the approximately 8-km journey towards Mangarh began with Gurbani Kirtan, Ardaas and Hukamnama Sahib, seeking the divine blessings of Guru Sahib Ji.
The route passed through the Botanical Garden, Valley Viewpoint, Cloudburst Point, Mangarh Spring, ancient cave and waterfall, offering participants an opportunity to experience the natural surroundings of Baru Sahib while walking together in a spirit of faith and togetherness.
One of the special moments was at the waterfall checkpoint, where Gurbani Kirtan Seva and Naam Simran were performed amidst the forests and flowing waters, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reflection in the lap of nature.
More than a trek through the hills, Walk for Change was an opportunity to reconnect with our roots, strengthen bonds and experience the values of faith, Seva and togetherness.
Through our 40th Foundation Day Series, we continue sharing the memorable moments and experiences from the four-day celebrations.
In Episode 2, we bring you glimpses of Walk for Change 2026.
