The 75th Anniversary of India's Independence was celebrated at Akal Academy Baru Sahib, IB World School along with the rest of the country. All students from both the old and new campus attended the function and flag hoisting. The PYP Coordinator and the Vice Principal New Campus Mr. P D Mani hoisted the flag. Students of the PYP performed a choreography based on freedom songs.
