Live Art – Painting

Arts encourage self-expression and creativity and can build confidence as well as a sense of individual identity in children. Arts also help to develop critical thinking and the ability to interpret the world around us. Apart from this, art has a wide range of uses and influences on students. It improves motor skills, simple things like mastering a paint brush or using crayons and pencils help develop fine motor skills, especially in younger children. Art education also fosters collaboration and group learning.

A live art painting was held at Akal Academy, Baru Sahib for the PYP students. While the upper primary classes participated in a live art creation, the lower classes actively participated in expressing their ideas through painting.
